Michał Zygmunt – gitarzysta i kompozytor zafascynowany odkrywaniem dawnych światów. Zbiera pojedyncze dźwięki i wykorzystuje w muzyce równorzędnie obok gitar i innych instrumentów. Chętnie sampluje z archiwalnych nagrań i przy ich pomocy ożywia duchy z przeszłości. Ciekawą cechą twórczości jest eklektyczne połączenie najlepszych cech różnych gatunków muzyki, „wsiowych” i światowych, awangardy z tradycją. Jest autorem 11 płyt, które nagrał zarówno solo, jak i we współpracy ze znakomitymi muzykami w najlepszych studiach nagrań. Doceniony przez słuchaczy w Polsce i za granicą. Autor profesjonalnych nagrań terenowych dźwięków natury (albumy Dzikie Rzeki, Harmonia Natury dla WWF Polska) Współpracował z takimi znakomitościami jak: Jan Bang, Erik Honoré, Nils Petter Molvær, Roli Mosimann, Arve Henriksen. Jest współautorem Festiwalu Punkt Eklektik Session, który połączył dwa innowacyjne, europejskie festiwale i wpisał się w ogólnopolski kalendarz wydarzeń muzycznych. Pomysłodawca serii Odra Guitars- instrumentów zbudowanych wyłącznie z drzew rosnących nad Odrą. Autor muzyki teatralnej, filmowej i ilustracyjnej, twórca słuchowisk. Laureat nagrody Emocje 2015 Radia Wrocław Kultura w kategorii muzyka, doceniony za muzyczną indywidualność i odkrywanie innych wymiarów muzyki.

Michal Zygmunt is a guitarist and composer; a music discoverer fascinated by the old times.

Michal collects individual sounds and uses them alongside his guitars and other instruments to create beautifully original music. He likes to play and sample with archive recordings, sounds that he harnesses to revive the artistic essence and spiritual life of past eras.

An interesting part of his work is the eclectic mix of different music genres, starting with those derived from rustic places all the way to his globally acknowledged world music and his mix tradition with avant-garde. He is the author of 6 albums that he recorded both solo and in collaboration with excellent musicians in some of the best recording studios around. His music has received accolades by audiences in Poland and abroad.Michal has collaborated with notable musicians such as Jan Bang, Erik Honoré, Nils Petter Molvar, Roli Mosimann and Arve Henriksen. He is also co-author of the Punkt Eklektik Session Festival, which combined two existing innovative European festivals and in turn inscribed itself as a nationwide annual music event.

On top of that, Michal is the founder of the series „Odra Guitars”- special handmade instruments built only with wood found along the Odra river. His boundless creativity does not end there either, as Michal is also the author of illustrative and film music as well as the creator of radio plays.
